Theatre and
Street Actor
Rufino is an elegant artisan of fun.
The show is already there, in the introduction: in character of an unconvincing major, he makes his way among the crowd in rhythm with a joyful and simple music.
When people has formed a circle around him, the show begins, but perhaps it has already begun.
His playful capacity to communicate through his gaze and a wise employ of the clown mimicry let Rufino catch the attention and curiosity of people passing by, without making a noise .
In his show, thanks to his own clear-headed madness, this tireless clown, collector of smiles and poet of mirth, can give us a picture of reality, with light hues of absurdity, in a gentleman-gangster style.
His disarming craziness and surrealistic comicality slowly win the audience, bringing old and young to support and act as real protagonists of a magic game made of laughters, endless surprises and comical crafts.
Rufino has been defined "a Franciscan of the comic art". His work feeds upon little actions and stirs that kind of deep listening which, perhaps, we are not accostumed to anymore. His wordless, universal language suits to audiences of all age, culture, social extraction, nation and religion.
